Stonebridge affiliate band, The Desert City Ramblers, are excited about the uptick and streaming numbers they have been enjoying in recent months.
“I’m really excited people are relating to, and connecting with the music”, says the bands lead songwriter, producer, and frontman Brian McComas on a phone interview concerning the recent wave of attention the band has been enjoying. “We have been talking about what to release next from the Rambler catalog, but I think some people are just now connecting with the music that’s already out there. And because of that, we may allow what’s happening to continue organically and not get in the way of releasing something else immediately”.
But don’t worry to anyone who’s a fan of the band. Our call with Brian was specifically about the existing music that is planned for release from the band and new music that he is working on for both his solo projects and for the Ramblers. We took an interest specifically in this band because they seem to have a fresh sound mixed with a connection to what made the 70s such a golden age of southern based rock ‘n’ roll…
Perhaps it’s those people who are fans of that style of music that are responsible for a 300% increase in streaming of Ramblers songs the last two weeks… and going into the numbers, a little further, and increase in Shazam’s and playlist adds. Whether it’s those fans or not, the ramblers are connecting with somebody. And seemingly doing it by word-of-mouth from fan to fan.
“We are so thankful that people are enjoying the music and being gracious enough to spread the word to other folks out there” says McComas. we will do our best to not let them down as we continue to release from the Ramblers catalog”.
Something tells us they won’t disappoint… Something tells us that the secret that used to be the Desert City Ramblers is not going to be a secret for long…
